The Rural Allied Health Network Training Partnership (RAhNT) was established in 2015 after being authorized by the Public Health Service Act and funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to support the recruitment, clinical training, and retention of Allied Health professionals in rural communities.
The RAhNT Partnership’s program overall goals are as follows:
What is RAhNT?
A partnership between H. Councill Trenholm State Technical College, Community Hospital, Macon County School District, Tombigbee Healthcare Authority (Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital), and the Tuskegee Area Health Education Center, Inc. (TAHEC).
What does RAhNT do?
Recruiting, training, placement, and retention of Allied Health professionals in 13 rural counties within Alabama (Macon, Bullock, Choctaw, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale, Lowndes, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, and Tallapoosa).
Trainees will be recruited from the following populations:
